CAINS EXPORT BECOMES UK’S FIRST ‘RED TRACTOR’ LAGER
Standards ‘Red Tractor’ logo. The prize-winning lager is made from some of the country’s finest malt and hops and will now be able to carry the Red Tractor symbol to reassure consumers of its qualities.
Cains Export is made only from UK ingredients that have to undergo rigorous independent inspection to ensure they meet the highest standards of hygiene, food safety and quality.
Cains joint managing director Sudarghara Dusanj said: “Cains lager has always been famous for its proudly British heritage and the fact that it was the country’s first Premium Lager - we are now reflecting this in how it is promoted and packaged. “Being able to add the famous Red Tractor logo to the label and to our pump clips is a strong message which strengthens those credentials even further.
“Consumers are currently weighing up the good value that they demand out of every purchase with great British brands that they know and trust. Assured Food Standards certification is recognition of the fact that we apply the highest standards throughout the brewing process.
“We’re very proud to have the first lager to join a very prestigious stable of products which British consumers trust.”
David Clarke, chief executive of Assured Food Standards, the organisation that runs the Red Tractor scheme said: “The Red Tractor certification signifies Cains’ commitment to sourcing quality, farm assured ingredients. We are thrilled that Cains Brewery has been awarded the Red Tractor for Cains lager”.
Cains’ Finest Export Lager is brewed to traditional export standards, creating a 5% ABV, full-bodied beer which carries an iconic 'Best of British' Union Jack label first designed by ‘Pop Art’ legend Sir Peter Blake.
